Premier Pool & Spa recommends Hayward Heaters for many reasons
i. Cupro nickel heat exchanger is standard, a cupro nickel heat exchanger is
an upgrade for all other heater manufacturers and is generally reserved for
commercial applications (on other heaters) due to the additional cost to
upgrade
ii. Positive blower placement The blower on the Hayward heater is on the
positive side of the heater, pushing air through the heater rather than pulling it,
keeping it out of flue gases & preventing premature failure. (Other heaters
have the blower on the negative side, pulling air through the heater and the hot
flue gases through the blower as well, continuous heat = dead blowers)
iii. Hydraulic efficiency The design of the header & exchanger allows for the
least amount of head pressure added to the system, allowing variable speed
pumps to run at lower speeds, saving $$$ on energy costs and reducing
turbulence & erosion on the exchanger
iv. Mouse Resistant We have not had issues with mice getting into the
common issues with some other heaters
