Work required For Paver Pool Decks Remove the pavers over the plumbing to
be repaired, (area to be removed will be approximately 2' x 2'), dig down and
around the plumbing to be repaired, cut out the damaged plumbing, replace
the plumbing that was cut out, test the repair, fill the area around the repair
with sand to attempt to prevent future damage in that area from frost
heaving/ice lensing, fill in the hole the remainder of the way with the fill that
was removed initially, put a layer of sand down for the pavers, lay the pavers
back in place. Please note, the pavers that are put back in place will not be re-
installed as good as new, our service technicians are not professional paver
installers. There will likely be some settling after a year or so as well as the
area in the ground around a plumbing break is generally a mud pit. It would be
advisable to plan on having a paver company reset the pavers after a year if
the pavers have settled after a repair. If the pavers were installed with a
special sand or specially colored sand, it would be advisable to have that
specialized sand available for our service technicians when they come to do
the repair.
